Bad breath

I have a really terrible bad breath, this is not the “morning breath”. The only time I don’t have bad breath is probably when I’m eating or just finished eating. I’ve tried a lot to solve this, nothing works.

  1. A very common cause of bad breath is acid reflux. The contents of the stomach are brought up into the esophagus and the smell with it. Antacids may help. Cases of bad breath can also be attributed to a number of known causes such as due to poor oral hygiene. Other dental causes are mouth breathing, eating foods with strong odors (garlic or onions), infections, gum disease, rotting teeth, tobacco use, and dry mouth syndrome.

  2. Sometimes, if you have recurring bad breath or bad breath that refuses to go away, then it’s time for you to visit your dentist. Most times, bad breath is as a result of bacteria buildup on the teeth. When you visit your dentist, a simple mouth rinse does the magic or a special tooth paste recommendation. Or if it’s an odor-causing bacteria, you may be referred to a gum specialist.
