There is a smart way to connect with your boss of opposite gender before you look to learn something specific from them and take a leap in your career.
Knowing where to draw the professional line is very key. Other than that, an intern can have his or her opposite sex boss as his or her mentor. It is such a great thing when a junior person at a workplace sees their boss as someone they can look up to and learn from.
