  1. Many superstitions make perfect sense. My favourite is that it is bad luck to walk under a ladder, of course it is bad luck to walk under a ladder! Walking under a ladder significantly increases the chance of the guy standing above you dropping his tools, a brick, or a roof tile on your head. The ladder superstition likely hails back to a tradesman trying to tell his apprentice to not be stupid.

  2. Superstitions are based on fantasy and ignorance. It is the same as Religions, just a different word that pretty much means the same thing. If it can be proven real, then it is no longer a superstition.
