What do I do to get myself to study and read even though I don’t have the zeal?
Don’t look for motivation. Its a trap. It will only get you started but definately can’t get you through. There’s only two things that can help you go all the way along. Its Good Habit and Discipline. If your habits are good, you don’t need motivation in the first place. You really don’t have to think about motivation to start.
You are seeking out for motivation because you are not studying. You are not studying because you are procrastinating. So the deep rooted underlying problem is procrastination.
Wage a war against procrastination. Don’t accept mediocrity. Build a world class habit and become the most disciplined person you always imagined to be.
Will power strongly depends up on your determination to reach your goals. So set your goals harder and whenever you are not interested in studying think about your goals.
Just take a break of 5 mins and think about future if you don’t study. And also your parents dreams about you. It makes you get interest again to study.
