Telos, if you card has been lost or stolen, the best course of action is to have it deactivated. To do that, immediately contact the financial institution that issued it and tell them to deactivate it. Don’t forget to request a new card. That will have an entirely new 16 digit number, expiration date, and CVV number.
If you’re severing banking relations with the financial institution, then follow their protocol for cancelling your account to which the card is attached, and the card will automatically be deactivated.
Call your bank to let them know you ATM card has been stolen. The bank can send another ATM card. Also, for the thief to use the ATM card, they would have to know your PIN number. It is not easy to guest the number. The possible combination for the card is 10 to the 4th power-a lot of numbers. Also, if someone tries to use your card, after the 3th wrong entry of the PIN, the bank automatically blocks your account for any further use of the card.
