  1. The laser hair removal works to facilitate the permanent reduction of unwanted hair growth in different areas of the body. While laser hair removal does not necessarily remove the hair altogether, but it drastically reduces the hair growth to the point where it is barely noticeable. The results vary from person to person and depend on the size of the target area, skin type, hair thickness, number of treatment sessions and the type of laser used for the treatment. The total number of sessions required will vary between individuals, but generally, it takes 8-12 sessions to achieve expected results. The laser will only be able to target actively growing hair and not the ones in the dormant phase. After the inactive hair moves into a growth phase, a subsequent laser session can target the hair left behind. As the cycles and laser sessions repeat, you will experience a permanent reduction in hair growth along with a decrease in hair thickness.

  2. Laser hair removal can be permanent, as lasers create a beam of highly concentrated light that penetrates deep into the skin where it delivers a controlled amount of therapeutic heat.
This light energy is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to destroy numerous follicles at a time and leaves the surrounding skin unaffected.
Factors like heredity, hormone imbalances and reactions to medications can also determine the results. So follow up visits may be needed to treat regrowth and to maintain the results.
