Both at-home and in-clinic chemical peels can be helpful in treating acne,The peels that are used in a doctor’s office are stronger than those available at home. When applied, they remove the top layer of skin, unclogging pores and improving skin texture by increasing skin turnover. but they are quite harmful to the skin overtime because the chemicals are harsh.
While chemical peels sound like a promising answer to acne scars, they may not be the best answer for the type of scars you have. Research has shown that superficial or light peels may help manage acne, while medium and deep peels may help more in treating moderate acne scars.
