Very much so, a blow job is definitely sex that is why it is called Oral sex, heard about that? Just because it is not penetrative in the sense that you described, doesn’t nullify it. As for retaining your virginity status, I am not a hundred percent certain how to answer the question but I guess not.
yes, blow jobs are considered oral sex and they are as intimate as sex can get, you cannot consider it as a non-sexual act, and I do not believe you are still a virgin after involving in sexual acts, you can read up on this on the internet. Though some people believe to be deflowered the hymen has to be broken, I am of the opinion that this is not true.
