My freelance kicked off so well, I had jobs and I got a lot of referrals— things were so great, until I no longer get jobs, even old clients no longer bring me jobs. I don’t have new clients. What should I do?

Make your own website to serve as a portfolio, start networking with other freelancers and use your current clients as a stepping stone to get some new clients. Oh, and promote yourself everywhere, the more you build yourself as an expert in your field, the less people will notice the “freelancer” in your bio and will treat you more like a business owner.
Try continually tweaking your gig. Do some market research, and see what your direct competition is using for their description, title, pricing, etc. You don’t have to copy them, but that helps show what works. Keep tweaking it, every couple of days, and you should see some results. Also, if it’s available for your account, I recommend the Promoted Gigs feature to drive traffic.
